Our Story

Sound Hope Community Church launched on July 1, 2024, after four years as a campus of Ridgeway Church in New Rochelle, New York. We held our first service at the Arrigoni Center of Iona University, just two days before the COVID-19 pandemic. We pivoted to worship on zoom for the next eight months. By the end of the year, we began in-person worship services at a rented church on Main Street in New Rochelle, where we continued till October 2022. Since then, we have been gathering for worship at the Salesian High School Chapel in New Rochelle. We celebrated our fourth anniversary as a church on March 10th, 2024.

Our congregation is intentionally multi-ethnic, multi-generational, valuing each generation, and diverse socio-economically. We value being a community that emphasizes our core values of being a loving community in hospitality, participatory worship experience, and one that shares life together in fellowship over meals. We desire the saying of the early church to be true of us: “See how they love one another!”
